What are we looking for?

We are looking for a mechanical engineer to assist in the development of our metal 3D printers. Previous experience in the design of machine tools or manufacturing systems is greatly appreciated as well as experience with 3D printing or CNC technology and knowledge of related electro-mechanical systems (Servo motors/encoders, etc.). The ideal candidate has experience in working with complex assemblies in CAD and a good understanding of engineering principles. He/she will follow projects from conception through design, manufacturing, and testing all the way to production.

 

Main responsibilities:

– Develop and optimize designs in 3D CAD software with associated CAE tools
– Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility
– Complete and release component designs and documentation, including 2D drawings
– Validate components per defined engineering requirements
– Resolve issues and concerns with cross-functional teams including engineering, firmware, supply chain, production, and service
– Participate in the sourcing process and manage engineering relationships with suppliers
– Deliver to defined schedules

This person will be located in Linares, Spain at the Meltio factory with occasional travel as needed. 
Previous experience with additive manufacturing technology, and extended experience of complete workflow with CNC machines is required. 
Experience in user support is appreciated but not essential. The role will be focused on bridging the gap between Meltio R&D, engineering and the end user.

Main responsibilities:

– Use knowledge and experience to develop, troubleshoot and improve Meltio equipment.
– Collaborate with integrators/technology centers for further developing systems and processes.
– Creation of training program for new Meltio Technician hires to ensure thorough knowledge of all Meltio equipment.
– Creation of training programs for Resellers / End Users, creation of documentation to be used in training.
– Train new internal technicians.
– Handle all escalated support issues.
– Review support logs from Resellers, End Users & Meltio technicians to identify patterns (possibly caused by production or a bad supplier part in the equipment), and communicate any patterns or concerns to the R & D team.
– Review and organize data from customer machines (total print time, # fail jobs, # completed jobs, etc).
– Creation of digital training tools.
– Updates to manuals/instructional information based on hardware/software changes.
– Responsible for communicating machine sales to Meltio Technicians, verifying all data of machine & Reseller/End User is properly entered into technical support ticket system/software.
– Ensure correct procedures are followed by Meltio Technicians & Resellers/End Users, support cases are closed in a timely manner.
– Inform resellers and direct end users of all software updates, hardware changes, new manuals, etc.
– Work with technicians for scheduling of machine installations & training at Reseller / End User site, sending training preparation materials.
– Prepare content for 3D sample library, material settings, slicer settings.

What are we looking for?

This person will be located near the Meltio factory in Linares, Spain  
This role includes travel as needed for supporting customers, on-site training and service. Previous experience with CNC equipment and mechanical engineering knowledge is required. Experience in metal 3d printing and user support is appreciated but not essential. The role will be focused on knowledge transfer, customer communications, troubleshooting, and problem solving. 

 

Main responsibilities:

– Cross-trained on all Meltio equipment, but focused on the Meltio Engine+CNC Integration
– Conduct Internal Technical Training for other teams
– Respond to Reseller & End User support tickets
– Conduct web-based and on-site equipment installation and training
– Build and manage strong relationships with customers and other cross-functional reseller partners.
– Responsible for Reseller & End User spare part orders, spare part inventory fulfilled at Reseller site
– Userfeedback communicated to internal teams
– Review and organize machine data

 

You will be a great fit for the Meltio team if you are/have:

– Experience in 3D Printing.
